Here is a list of answers to some common questions about bootcamp.
Do I need to be super fit?
Not at all. We are here to help you improve your fitness. Naturally some people are fitter than others but we make sure that everyone in a class gets a good work out. No one feels left behind and no one (trust me) finds the pace too easy.
Can I attend any class I want?
When you sign up you sign up to a particular class (e.g. Corniche dawn Patrol at 0600). However, if you can’t make a class and want to make it up AND give us plenty of notice AND we have space we are happy for you to attend a different class.
Can I bring my kids?
They can watch but no under 18s can participate in Bootcamp.
What do I need to bring?
Not much. An essential is water. You will need a minimum of 1.5 litres (i.e. a big bottle). Some people like to bring a small towel to lie on but that is all. We provide all equipment necessary.
What should I wear?
Normal training kit. Most people wear a t-shirt and shorts/leggings and trainers. Some people wear tracksuits but it does get hot. Please note that this is an outdoor fitness class so you will be on the grass etc and it might make your shirt a little dirty (although there is no mud here).
What about my car keys/mobile etc?
We keep them in the trainer’s car during the session
Will you do a Bootcamp in a park nearer me?
At the moment we only have the locations listed (see schedule section). However, if you can arrange 8 or more people we would be happy to run a Bootcamp at any location. Just let us know info@bootcampqatar.com
Do you train in summer?
Absolutely. Yes it is very hot sometimes and we do lower the intensity very slightly in the hottest months (you won’t be able to tell though) but we work all the through. We call it Bikram Bootcamp and although it is hot and hard work it is still great to be outside after a whole day cooped up in the AC breathing recycled air
Can I come on my own?
Of course you can. Most people do. You will soon get to know everyone and everyone is very friendly. In fact it is a great place to meet lots of nice people (including the instructors).
I don’t like people shouting at me.
Neither do we. We raise our voices to get heard but all we do is encourage and get the most out of you. You are not joining the army, this is a fitness class so it is very friendly.
Will you give me advice on my diet?
