Really enjoyed the classes

Hi Tim and Graeme,

I just thought I’d send you a quick email to thanks for everything over the last few months.

Really enjoyed the classes even when I did feel like I was going to die! I shall miss it now before I head back home but if I ever come back to live in Doha I wound defo join bootcamp again and recommend it to a friend.

Thanks again.

Shifting pregnancy weight

Dear Tim and Graeme

Thank you so much for “Boot Camp”.  I cannot recommend boot camp highly enough to anyone wanting to lose fat, get fit, have fun while sweating and make some great friends along the way.   Boot camp is the only thing that has worked for me in shifting pregnancy weight and I should know, I gave done it twice in two years!  After having four children I have struggled in the past with my weight and finding the time and energy to work out.  No diet ever seemed to work and I am rubbish at sticking to them.  Now I find with boot camp, I never get bored as every session is different and in fact I look forward to going.  It only takes a couple of months to notice a difference and now that I am into my sixth month I am finding I can fit back into my clothes from before my first child….it’s amazing!!!  Thank you so much, never again will I exercise any other way.  Kim Audsley, Australia

Another excellent month!

Dear Tim and Graeme,

Thank you for another excellent month of Boot Camp! I noticed quite a change in my muscle tone over the past month – no doubt a direct result of all the grueling dips, push-ups, pull-ups, sprints, squats, lunges, and dreaded burpies.

Seeing the new definition in my arms and thighs encouraged me to adopt healthier eating habits, and I’m on a great track to finally lose some much needed excess weight. Down 1 dress size already!

I’ll be out of the country for the rest of the month, which is why I didn’t immediately renew my membership. However, I’ll be in touch when I return. I’m definitely not looking forward to working out outside during the summer months, but the results far outweigh the challenge.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing what you do so well!

Kindest regards,

NM

Gruelling but satisfying!

From a magazine article in which one of our members, who is celebrating her 100th Bootcamp session tonight (Thursday 16th Dec), talks about aspects of her life in Doha.

“Another fantastic workout experience has been BootCampQatar, which offers sessions all over town and which has been gaining in popularity among people from all different centers in Education City.  In groups of 5 or 10 or 20, individuals with an interest in getting or staying fit gather for an hour, three times each week (6-7 a.m.or 6-7 p.m or 7.30-8.30 p.m.) and push themselves to their physical limits. We jog and sprint, we do push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and lunges, we sweat and grunt and pant and cry – but we laugh a lot as well!  The exercise is grueling but satisfying, the instructors are tough but endearing, and the camaraderie is wonderfully supportive.”

Inspired, fun and hard training!

“I am writing to thank Graeme, Tim and Bootcamp Qatar for the last 7 months of inspired, fun and hard training we have had. I have now lost 10.5% of my total body weight (10kg), 20% body fat, 15cm off my waist, and 7cm off each thigh – do your squats properly my friends – they work! I had spent 5 years recovering from a serious injury and had started to despair that I would never regain my fitness or fit into those 3 wardrobes of Karen Millen suits that have moved 5 countries in 5 years unworn! The fact that I now do (well a good number anyway) is down to your total interest in, and understanding of, my abilities and capabilities – you pushed me when I didn’t think I could do any more (but I could) and found alternatives to help me recover, almost completely, from my injuries.

Fitness and a firm body aside, Bootcamp is so much fun and our group feels more like a little family than a bunch of strangers doing group fitness. Even training throughout summer has fab benefits – we are completely acclimatised – so can sit outside at the Admirals Club and drink cocktails by the sea while everyone else packs into the smoky, smelly bar or comes outside and melts – gotta be worth it just for that!  Lastly we were lucky to attend the inaugural Residential Bootcamp in Hatta Fort – it was AMAZING!!! I lost a further 6cm off my stomach in that week alone, proved that you can train over 5 hours a day, improved my stamina so am training for the Paris Marathon, and have really kick-started my metabolism as I have lost a further 3kg in the few weeks since we have been back.   So again thanking you again Graeme & Tim – you are superstars and I look forward to many more years of Bootcamp Qatar. Summer fun?

The summer bootcampers can be happy with the thought that their sweat alone has kept the grass green in Aspire Park. It would still be a desert if we were confined to a gym.

Maybe it should be known as ‘Perspire Park???’ (pretty good huh)

Bring on the winter – looking forward to the snow…..

Dear Graeme & Tim

I would just like to thank you both, on behalf of Munther & myself for allowing us to be a part of your ‘Boot-camp’ (BC), or ‘Booty-Camp’ as we so fondly have labelled it.  Boot Camp totally exceeded our expectations and this is with ‘many thanks’ to the both of you.

We initially registered in BC to benefit my husband; but!! I can tell you right now that I would be lying if I said I did not.  I cannot recall when or if I have ever enjoyed training so much and have always enjoyed training on a track.  I have been both a sports enthusiast and gym member for at least 25 years, giving anything a go; having at least three coaches and   4 PTs throughout this period; but have never enjoyed training at this intensity so much.  In all honesty,  I/we absolutely loved it!

What I wanted from BC was to train until I was almost dead. . I always want that when I’m being trained; to be pushed beyond my limits! Where my chest and throat burns, I can hardly breathe, my legs shake, my muscles burn, my ears block and I’m about to ‘be sick’ and I am the first to complain if I do not get this.   At this point I know my body is achieving what I want for it.  Although I have never suffered the latter; with the both of you …  there were a couple of sessions there that I knew if I even had a sip of water I would have had my head in a bucket.  With BC it was not about losing weight, but about improving my stamina, strength and power, as I am a muscle (strength & power) ‘freak’ at heart and love eating… good food of course.  I just wanted all this at a high intensity level and I certainly got that…

You both, 100% motivate, push… push.. And push again, knowing what each individual can achieve and yet knowing their boundaries and I suffered!   Honestly, the both of you are just brilliant!  You are, as we would say in NZ or Australia… ‘Just the BEST!!’.   Kiwis pride themselves on living in a country that is truly considered the great outdoors, where sport is in their blood, whether it be indoors or outdoors.  Australians are a close 2nd… hahaha… then along come you two … we truly admire people like you…

Once again, thanks so much guysJ & take care.  We both look forward to seeing you both again when we get back from our vacation, late July.
